10% — higher delayed memory scores in APOE4 women using hormone therapy

CAPTION
One of the more striking findings in recent menopause research: hormone therapy didn't affect every woman's memory the same way.

In this analysis of 1,178 women from the EPAD cohort, hormone therapy use was associated with roughly 10% higher delayed memory scores — but only in women carrying the APOE4 genotype.

The EPAD cohort was recruited across ten European countries, and the analysis adjusted for age, education, marital status, handedness and baseline clinical rating.
